Senate Bill Would Move Funding From Planned Parenthood to Women's Health

TONY PERKINS: Planned Parenthood, no friend of parents

A new video released by pro-life group Live Action reveals that Planned Parenthood has always been imposing abortion quotas on its clinics nationwide, incentivizing its workers to convince women to terminate their pregnancies. In the past few days, more devastating facts have surfaced about the organization that profits from the more than 300,000 abortions it performs every year: Planned "Parenthood" is not really for parents.

While federal law bars funding for most abortions, Planned Parenthood receives money through other federal programs.

He said, "we have all watched with horror, the investigative reports that have revealed the true nature of Planned Parenthood and what they stand for".

"I felt like I was more of a salesman sometimes to sell abortions", Anderson told Rose".

In addition to pizza parties, employees could be rewarded for meeting abortion quotas with paid time off or a "clinic manager of the month" award. "Do they want to reduce the abortion rate?" But quotas for abortions? Organizers say taxpayer dollars that go to Planned Parenthood would be better spent with facilities that don't offer services such as abortions.

"If you cut the funding based on that 3 percent, we'll have a lot more social repercussions to deal with than benefits", she added. It doesn't have quotas for prenatal care.

A $115,000 contract dispute between the County and Planned Parenthood will hold up thousands of free contraceptives for those in need in Shelby County.

7 by The Associated Press about a bill to defund Planned Parenthood in Virginia reported erroneously that losing funding would force the group to close its five clinics in the state.

The Live Action video is the latest in its Abortion Corporation series, which highlights the ways in which Planned Parenthood promotes abortion at the expense of women's health.

Rose said, "Planned Parenthood finds itself in the impossible position of saying that it does just enough prenatal care to merit hundreds of millions of dollars from the government, but not enough to be criticized for failing to provide it when a pregnant woman seeks prenatal care at its centers". In a press conference February 2 on Capitol Hill, Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) said: "The dark deception of Planned Parenthood continues to make tragic victims of unborn babies and their mothers". For example, former clinic manager Abby Johnson - who now works as a pro-life activist - explained that Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, the group's second-largest affiliate, gave an award to the Aurora, Colo., clinic for "exceeding abortion visits first half of fiscal year 2012 compared to first half of fiscal year 2013".
