The news of Thandie's confirmation for Han Solo movie is being looked forward to anxiously by both the Star Wars fans and that of Westworld's. The cast of the said Han Solo movie is clearly expanding when it has just been reported that another actress is being offered a role.
Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge is also reportedly in talks for a key role in the movie. Newton's star is on the rise, and her performance as the artificial western frontier's brothel madam earned her nominations from the Screen Actors Guild and the Golden Globe.
What do you think of the potential addition of Thandie Newton to the Star Wars universe? And while Newton has played heroines like Tom Cruise's partner in Mission Impossible 2, it's her ability to play badass, lovely ladies that get her a lot of attention.
The untitled Han Solo movie is slated for a May 25, 2018 release.
Newton starred in last year's HBO hit Westworld, portraying android Maeve Millay.
As for Newton, she is a great match for Star Wars. In fact, she has been given several acting awards from various ceremonies. However, it's not known who the women will play.
Starring Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) in the leading role as the famous smuggler, the Han Solo film is directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord and also features Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke in an unrevealed role, and Woody Harrelson as Han Solo's mentor.
