Israeli Labor Party Delays Leadership Contest for a Britney Spears Concert

Tickets for pop star Britney Spears' July show in Tel Aviv went on sale Wednesday

As of today, she has almost 40 million Facebook fans, 51.9 million Twitter followers and 15.8 million Instagram followers. That "major event" is clearly a Britney Spears concert, and apparently, it's important enough to lure a significant amount of the electorate away from the polls, or at least, screw up traffic to polling places.

Although both events were scheduled to take place next door to each other in the Exhibition Grounds conference and concert space in Tel Aviv on 3 July, the issue is not, it appears, that the membership of the centrist party might be persuaded that an evening with USA pop singer would be less toxic than voting for its leadership. Last night (Apr. 4), the star took to her favorite social media site, Instagram, to post a video of her working out with a kettle clamp.

Britney Spears is proving to be "Toxic" to Israel's Labor party. They can't, that's how.

If you're feeling Britney withdrawal symptoms like us, remind yourself of that epic 2016 Billboard Music Awards performance below.

The Tel Aviv concert marks the beginning of a series of summer shows which so far includes stops in Israel, Manila and Japan, and will be the first time the Princess of Pop has embarked on a world tour in six years. While every voice is important for party members.

Just not when Britney Spears is in town, mmkay?
