"Tottenham need to sign a player like N'Golo Kante", Walsh said. There were some players better than me or as good as me'.
Leicester City celebrates on the pitch after beating Sevilla as former teammate N'Golo Kante looks on!
The industrious French midfielder has been tipped for Player of the Year, and he has revealed how he could have been tempted to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Kante, 26, has proved his importance in his first two seasons in the Premier League, after starring in Leicester's 2015-16 title-winning campaign before moving to Chelsea this season.
Chelsea, having signed Kante only last summer, are also believed to be reluctant to do a deal.
Already, there are speculations that Real Madrid will move for Eden Hazard this summer, but with this latest development, it means the Spanish side are ready for big business.
Chelsea are favourites to win the title this season and are now seven points ahead of second placed Tottenham Hotspur with eight games left to play. A professional career wasn't always certain and Kante has spoken about the rejection he faced before making it: "When I was young, between 13 to 18, I tried to get into professional academies like Rennes, Lorient, Sochaux maybe four or five different ones". "Tottenham are a good team playing very well, so it's not done and we have to fight".
And Kante says his ability to cover every inch of grass comes from a love of the game.
