Samsung didn't give a reason for Bixby Voice's delay or say whether voice activation will be available for the S8's launch in its home market of South Korea.
After a hyped-up unveiling of Samsung's latest virtual assistant Bixby, the tech giant stated that it will not accompany the Samsung Galaxy S8 features for now.
SAMSUNG has ditched one of its flagship smartphone's most anticipated features just days ahead of its release date. Samsung claims that Bixby will let you control your phone purely by voice, even for operations like manipulating or editing a photo.
Samsung said the voice function would be unavailable on locally-sold phones at first and a decision on when it will be switched-on will be made in the coming months, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Samsung has revealed that one of the key features of its upcoming Galaxy S8 device will be delayed. Hopefully, the Samsung Galaxy S8 features update for the Bixby app will be out soon.

The partnership with Westpac adds to Samsung's existing partnerships with Citibank for MasterCard and Visa credit card holders as well as American Express issued credit cards. Bixby's other features - Vision, Home and Reminder - would be usable out-of-the-box. The company as reported earlier has target estimations of selling 58 million Galaxy S8 units globally up to December.
According to Business Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone pre-orders are now far higher than the pre-orders which were seen at the time of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 7 device releases.
