"Once we are confident that we have incorporated the best of Wunderlist into To-Do", the company added, "we will retire Wunderlist".

Microsoft's Alex Simons announced the app update via an official blog post. One of the app's features is Intelligent Suggestions to help users create new lists for the day.

Microsoft To-Do ships with a suggestions feature which highlights important tasks to you which you may want to focus on.

Users can create lists, add due dates, keep track of deadlines by adding reminders and personalise each list with coloured themes.

However, Wunderlist to-dos and To-Do to-dos won't automatically sync.

To-Do is the only task management app built on an enterprise cloud.

So far it is only available for the Microsoft Authenticator app on Android and iOS.

This same approve-or-reject choice on the phone has been offered previously to Microsoft Accounts, but in the past, it still required the use of the fixed password.

So that means if you are subscribed to Office 365 those will be the only accounts that work on To-Do beginning with this preview. Microsoft Authenticator does not now work on Windows Phones.

The preview is being groomed as the successor to Microsoft's Wunderlist task management application. The new app was built by the team behind Wunderlist, and will bring in the favorite elements of that app in the months ahead, Microsoft says. Now, Microsoft is integrating it with Office 365 (anyone with a Microsoft account can use it) and "an intelligent algorithm".

Microsoft is looking for feedback on its new system, so if you have something to say about it, don't be afraid to let the company know.

It's been nearly two years since Microsoft bought the cross-platform task master Wunderlist, but you wouldn't know it to look at it. The Preview version of To-Do is available today for I.T. admins to enable through the Office 365 admin center, and is available on iPhone, Android, Windows and the web for consumers. This is very similar to how Microsoft approached their new Microsoft Teams collaboration service - by making it a value added feature for subscribers.
