Conducting a cyber surgical strike in Pakistan, Indian warriors on the web today took down at least 30 Pakistan government websites to protest against the death sentence handed out to former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.

However, Janjua contended Jadhav was not covered under a bilateral agreement on consular access as he was a "spy".

Avanti Jadhav, whose son Kulbhushan was arrested in Pakistan's Balochistan province in March a year ago, filed an appeal at the Supreme Court via the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, broadcaster NDTV reported. The Pakistan Army had also released a "confessional video" of Jadhav after his arrest.

India has said if Pakistan goes ahead with the execution of Jadhav, it would be tantamount to premeditated murder. The external affairs ministry said in a statement Jadhav "continues to be in detention in Pakistan on concocted charges".

This is one of the firsts from Indian Cyber Attackers which was usually carried out by members from Pakistan, Iran, China and North Korea who has given immunity to these hackers.

Besides seeking consular access, India has requested the Pakistani side to grant visas to parents of Jadhav, saying that they want to meet their son.

"Pakistan was... requested to facilitate visas for the mother and father of Shri".

"The high commissioner was informed that Pakistan has irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Jhadav in hatching conspiracies against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)", the source said.

The charges he faced included spying for India, working against Pakistan's integrity, sponsoring terrorism in the country and attempting to destabilise the state.

Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar had also met High Commissioner of Pakistan to India Abdul Basit on Tuesday and raised similar points. Bambawale had met Janjua on April 14 and expressed India's concern about Jadhav. Mr. Jadhav will have the option of lodging a mercy petition with the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of Pakistan within 60 days of the decision by the appellate court.

Pakistan's Foreign Office has said judicial process was followed during Jadhav's trial and that he was provided a lawyer in accordance with relevant laws and the Constitution.
