Forget Allardici, Sam's the Premier League Houdini

Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce has described their game with Hull this weekend as'bigger than a cup final as they attempt to secure their Premier League status

Crystal Palace host Hull City at Selhurst Park on Sunday in their penultimate game of the Premier League season.

The defender arrived from Liverpool on a short-term deal in January and played eight games before suffering a knee injury against Tottenham in April.

They are four points above the relegation zone with two games left and face third-bottom Hull on Sunday.

Sakho is on loan from Liverpool but Allardyce has expressed a desire to sign him permanently.

Crystal Palace have announced the shortlist for the player of the season award - with one name on it causing quite a stir.

However, it's clear that opposition clubs have clocked onto the fact that Zaha makes Palace tick, and the Ivory Coast worldwide has been fouled 108 times this season - working out at a foul on Zaha 3.27 times a game. They are matches of huge importance and we have to look to take six points and work as hard as we possibly can to make that happen'. When I've been with teams in the past, we went into games with a full squad.

"Our record at home has not been particularly good this season and we only turn it on against the big sides, whilst collapsing against the so-called weaker teams in the Premier League".

"It been an exciting - but nerve-wracking season to watch and I would feel gutted if we were to be relegated at the end of it". The first thing we need to be (against Palace) is calm. I believe in us. This time last week we were in the driving seat, but this league is unpredictable and who's to say there won't be another turn in it this weekend.

"Of course we analysed last week and understand what we need to do differently, but we keep altogether and keep fighting, like I have seen from our players in training this week".
