Officials explain Draymond Green technical foul mishap

2:14 | NBA NBA Finals Is 16-0 more impressive than 73-9

If you had no idea what was going on when Draymond Green was and then wasn't ejected from Game 4 of the NBA Finals, you weren't the only one. On Monday night, the Warriors will try again to close out their second championship in three years with the fiery Green on the court to start Game 5 this time.

Now, fast-forward. With 6:18 left in the third quarter and the Cavaliers leading 99-85, Green was apparently assessed another technical foul after complaining about a call. The refs acknowledged they should have made sure the official scorer gave the first technical to the right person (Kerr) and not someone else (Green). Even he said that he thought the technical foul was initially on Green. "I don't pay that much attention to anybody in Cleveland, honestly", he said.

The box was changed after the third quarter to indicate Kerr had received the first technical.

Goble said he thought he had verbalized to the table that the initial technical was on Kerr, but said after watching the video that he should have done a better job with that. "I take full responsibility for that".

Listen, even as a Warriors fan, this is some really bad looks for the National Basketball Association.
