At the all party meeting, the government is likely to seek opposition's support for smooth functioning of the upcoming Parliament Session.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, addressing an all-party meeting, placed the onus on the respective state governments, calling on them to take measures against self-proclaimed cow vigilantes.

"Every issue that affects national security and national interest is a matter of concern for each one of the 125 crore Indians".

Post GST implementation, monsoon session will have many more agendas to achieve by resolving various issues along with bills passage. And can we expect the opposition to cooperate and pass important legislation in this session of Parliament? "These are some of the issues we have flagged off in this meeting", he said.

If parties like Mamata Banerjee-led TMC and Lalu Prasad- led RJD attack the government over the action of law enforcement agencies such as the CBI and the ED against their leaders over alleged corruption, the treasury benches too would use the issue to underline their anti-corruption credentials.

Other crucial legislations include the labour code bill, the extension of GST in Jammu and Kashmir bill, the banking resolution bill and 'The Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Bill, 2017.

PM Modi, ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, said: "I hope the Monsoon Session will see constructive discussions keeping in mind the value of time, resources and honour of the Parliament".
