Salma Hayek wishes Akshay Kumar for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha success

'TEPK' on its way to become a hit as it acquires 3000 screens

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has witnessed a decent opening at the Box Office on opening day. Today, the sizzling Hollywood star Salma Hayek, gave her best wishes to Akshay Kumar for his latest release "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha". The entire unit of the "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" had appreciated Sudarsan's message through his medium. It has been made with limited budget of Rs. 18 crore and is released in 3000 screens in India.

It failed the cross the opening day record of Akshay's previous outing Jolly LLB 2 (Rs 13.20 crore) by a small margin.

A day before the release, Akshay Kumar shared his feelings and thoughts about this enriching journey coming to end with a Facebook post. The movie is released under the banner Friday Filmworks, Plan C studios, Grazing Goat Pictures, Kriarj Entertainments and Abundantia Entertainment. The film has collected 13 crores on the first day at the Indian Box Office. India biz... Sat and Sun look better...

Until now, Singh Is Bliing remains as Akshay's biggest opener at Rs 20.67 crore followed by Housefull 3 (Rs 15.20 crore), Rowdy Rathore (Rs 15.10 crore) and Brothers (Rs15.02 crore). In a report in Variety, Akshay Kumar is called as "Bollywood's banker". Moreover, it has partial Krishna Janmashtami and the big Independence Day holiday lined up ahead on Monday and Tuesday.

The movie revolves around a small town newly Wednesday couple Akshay (Keshav) and Bhumi Pednekar (Jaya) and how problems prevail in their married life after Jaya, leaves her husband when she discovers that there is no toilet in the house.
